Frequently asked questions
Does my data go to any server?
No. Reading, parsing, and building the health card all happen locally in your browser. Lab2Health never sends the contents of a lab result to any server.
Does Lab2Health make diagnoses or interpret results?
No. Lab2Health is not a medical device — it only transcribes data from one format to another, with no medical interpretation whatsoever.
Which labs' results can I upload?
Results from Diagnostyka and ALAB (Polish labs) are recognized best to start with. The parser is modular, so more labs will be added over time.
Do I need an iPhone to use Lab2Health?
Importing directly into Apple Health requires an iPhone or iPad. If you don't have an Apple device, you can use the PDF or CSV export instead.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Lab2Health deliberately has no user accounts or server-side history — that's consistent with the principle that no data ever leaves your browser.
What happens if OCR misreads a value?
You always see a verification step with a preview of the original next to the recognized data, and you must confirm it before exporting. Values that fall far outside a typical physiological range are additionally flagged as "needs checking".
Does the reference range shown in the table come from my lab result?
No. The range shown is a standard value from Lab2Health's own test dictionary, not the range printed on your document — different labs and analyzers use somewhat different reference ranges. Treat it as a rough point of reference; if your lab printed its own range on the result, that one is authoritative, not the one shown here.
